Q: There is a product I see on your Instagram id like to buy, but it is not on the website, why is this and how do I go about purchasing?
A: This is due to restrictions I face being a solo artist; I would have spots for every product on my site if I had enough money and traction to do so. You can still purchase said items via Cashapp, Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, Apple pay, and more by sending me a dm on Instagram @dejection.inc
Q. How do i buy through dm?
A. Firstly ONLY BUY FROM @dejection.inc
I wont sell from any other instagram account. This is to prevent scamming. Next, Dm me to tell me what youd like. The main page works as a showcase, so EVERY item on it is for sale unless marked otherwise. After we work out a price and everything, I send my cashtag, venmo @ etc.. , you send the money through preferred platform, and then you send me your shipping info on Instagram dms in this format::

Then ill pack it up, send you a pic of the package and notify you when i ship it out.
International shipping available too by dm the process is just a little longer.

A: 2-3 Weeks for the USA, 3-8 weeks anywhere else in the world.

A: Depending. Can't be too much as I'm not only selling my art for what I think it's worth, but the time, practice and love i put into it all.

Q:What significance does INC have with dejection? Does it mean Incorporated?
A: It doesnt mean Incorporated, it stands for "I Never Cared" , in regard to a mindset that soothed my anxiety. I never cared was something id tell myself in day to day life to push myself to work against my social anxiety. Dejection is made up of one person and is merely a LLC if that.
Q: What is the meaning of dejection?
A: the mask logo. a symbol of modesty, resilience, and strength through the hardships and dejection of life. official federal trademark registered with the state of New Mexico, owned by me.. throughout my childhood I've always tried to channel all of my depression and other mental illness into art as a means of coping mechanisms Whether it were paintings, songs, or really any other projects that I could make with my own two hands. I spent over a year conceptualizing a logo/character that would be visible from almost anywhere and serve a purpose to be just as impactful as thoughtful. eventually, I developed a reoccurring theme of a sad face with drowsy eyes, (probably under the influence) featuring x’s for pupils signifying blackout high. having a freshly-cried, oversized tear running down the cheek from trauma, with teeth clenched due to anxiety; and an upside-down cross representing Saint Peter's feelings of not being worthy enough to be crucified on a cross right side up as christ would, as a sign of modesty to bring it all together. i grew up around religion constantly so it became somewhat of a fascination i wanted to tie in. this idea quickly evolved from a thought into a drawing that tried to capture how my anxiety and depression make me feel; trapped, anxious, dejected.

a sad and depressed state; low spirits.
dejection is a synonym for depression but with a deeper significance. from songs by $uicideboy$, or scripts from movies, the words always stood out to me and kinda followed me like a good luck charm. like my own 666, I just kept seeing, hearing and feeling dejection over and over again, whether it was from writings, music, or emotion. the mask symbolizes a subliminal filter over a dejected one's life. it's been a double-sided good luck charm as well as a straightforward way of presenting how I feel. wearing the logo is an offer of care, vulnerability, and transparency with mental illness/feelings or emotions that are often looked down upon. mental health matters. you matter. you are never alone.
Q: You talk a lot about mental health. Do you struggle with any mental illness?
A: Yes. Ive struggled with PTSD, anxiety and depression for a very long time. I really disliked that it didnt seem anyone was pushing mental health advocacy so i gave it my best and will continue to forever. This is my main source of coping through it all.
Q: Where are you based from?
A: New Mexico, USA.
Q: Is the logo a registered trademark?
A: Yes, and may not be used without my permission. Please respect intellectual property. You yourself can make something great if you put your heart into it and give it adequate time.
Q: When was the brand established?
A: I myself truly have no idea the exact date, unfortunately, though I'm one hundred percent certain that the year was 2018-19, and have pretty much been doing art all of my life.
Q: Who made the logo? Any art conceptualists?
A: All my own original and unique idea I spent over a year developing and perfecting.
Q: I've been thinking about getting into art, any recommendations?
A: USE WHAT YOU HAVE! and make things that make YOU happy or content! I originally started this all as a personal project just for fun and it developed into my purpose over time.
